Founded in 1953, the American School Band Directors Association (ASBDA) is an extremely prestigious national organization for band directors of the highest quality.  The primary goal of the ASBDA is to promote the concert band as the focus of an educational curriculum which teaches music as artistic expression. 

ASBDA draws together the finest minds and best teachers nationally for the purpose of helping influence the direction and furthering the cause of good music in the nation's public schools.

The Florida Chapter is active in providing a variety of clinics at the FMEA Conference each year in the hopes of helping foster growth within our young teachers.
